The primary objective of this initiative was to renovate the Neluwa children’s park—which had long been in need of repair and promptly make it available for the children’s use.
Key activities included:
Mowing the grass and cleaning the children’s park premises.
Leveling areas where water had accumulated and filling them with sand.
Carrying out necessary repairs and maintenance work in the park.
Cleaning and beautifying the Neluwa town and its surrounding areas. (Concurrently, the main road near the children’s park was widened and renovated by the Road Development Authority.)
The event was attended by the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Neluwa Pradeshiya Sabha; Council Members Keerthirathna Gamage, Yasantha Lalith, Nandasiri Gunathunga, Kanishka Edirisinghe, and Janitha Kumari; former Pradeshiya Sabha Member Lakshman Gunawardena; as well as government officials, staff members, and a large number of local residents.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined hands to create a beautiful and pleasant Neluwa, embracing the “Aththama” concept.
