On the occasion of Poson Poya, which fell on June 10, 2025, the Neluwa Shasanarakshaka Balamandala and the Neluwa Divisional Secretariat jointly organized a series of Poson devotional songs, which were enriched by the singing of Dhamma school children. Despite the pouring rain, it was held in a grand manner with a large audience participation.

At the end of that program, something unexpected happened.Since there was a large audience participation in the program, including Food supplies, a large amount of garbage was seen scattered in front of the shopping complex after the program ended. After the program ended, the Neluwa Divisional Secretary, giving exemplary leadership to his team, participated in collecting and cleaning the garbage scattered throughout the city that very night.
