Waste matter is collected by the Neluwa Local Government Council six days a week. Approximately 9000kg of waste is collected per month. The waste is then sorted and compost is manufactured and waste that can be resold is sold from which the council obtains an income. Plastic and polythene waste is given to a waste management company.
