The Neluwa Pradeshiya Sabha’s budget for the year 2026 was approved on 19th November 2025 under the chairmanship of Hon. Chairman Ajith Chandana. The budget was approved by a majority vote after the opinions and suggestions of the parties and the opposition were presented.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, which falls today, the rack planting program was implemented under the guidance of the Secretary of the Neluwa Pradeshiya Sabha, under the leadership of Environmental Officer A.G. Lakmal, K.W. Saman Kumara and with the help of field workers.

With the financial support of the Indian High Commission and the participation of the staff, an Ayurvedic medical clinic was held in Viharastan, Dellawa on 30.10.2024. It was organized by the Neluwa Divisional General Secretariat and the Neluwa Divisional Council. More than 200 local residents have participated in receiving treatment from that clinic.
